Abstract

Clinical treatments that provide immediate prostheses after implant placement pose a challenge to prosthodontists. This clinical report describes retaining 1 tooth for maintaining the vertical dimension of occlusion in the process of immediate loading of implants in the edentulous mandible. This process assisted in the patient's adaptation to the interim removable partial denture and ensured the maintenance of the vertical dimension of occlusion during all aspects of therapy.
